Ayam-Ya Ramen

When you visit Japan, usually one of the menu to try on the list was ramen. But being a Moslem, finding ramen that you can eat was actually a bit hard, since mostly ramen uses broth containing pork.

Luckily, in Kyoto, there’s this ramen restaurant that you can try without worried of the possibility of it containing pork. The restaurant name is Ayam-Ya Ramen Restaurant.

Living it’s name, Ayam-ya (ayam means chicken in Indonesian language) only uses chicken for the base of its ramen’s broth. It doesn’t containt any pork or beef, so it is also safe for people who doesn’t eat beef as well. And to add more, it is Halal certified, so Moslem people can eat there with ease.

But don’t be fooled by its name. Even though it uses Indonesian language, the owner is Japanese, and the taste is Japanese ramen taste.

To order, you need to buy the coupon first from the machine near the entrance and they only accept 1,000 yen. But don’t worry if you only have 5,000 or 10,000, you can ask the staff for exchange.

There are few menu on the restaurant, but my recommendation is their Shio Ramen (salt ramen). Although the restaurant itself recommend their Shoyu Ramen (soy sauce ramen). Oh, and don’t forget to try their karaage as well.

When you come to the restaurant, don’t be surprised if you were asked to wait as the place was a bit small, yet there are a lot of customer coming. But if you’re lucky, you might even have the place as if it’s your own since you’re the only customer. But don’t worry feeling lonely, as the staff were kind and they’ll definitely accompany you with a chat.

Nevertheless, whether you’re looking for halal ramen or not, if you’re craving for ramen, or just looking for a place to eat, why not try this restaurant?  😀

I guess that’s all for now, see you next time!  Have a nice day! Hope you enjoy this restaurant the way I do.

Bye-bye~!

Sincerely, B.N.D.R.
